HPHS Design

The frame is fabricated from St52 steel, welded and vibration stress-relieved. The ram runs in 8-way guides with bronze guide bearings. Up to 600 tonnes, one main cylinder drives the ram. From 800 tonnes there are two, and the 2,500-tonne model has four.

From below, the cushion cylinder acts as the blank holder in deep drawing. Two fast-approach cylinders and a prefill valve handle the approach before the pressing stroke.

Welding is certified, and precision parts are robot-welded.

Max. working pressure 250 bar on all models.

Typical speeds: approach 150 mm/s, pressing 12 mm/s, return 170 mm/s; cushion advance 30 mm/s. Speeds are typical values. The pressing speed under full rated force depends on the pump and motor configuration chosen for the application. Pump and valves are configured to the customer's cycle time.

Other tonnages, tables and strokes are built to order.

Choosing the HPHS H-Frame Deep Drawing Press

The HPHS is the H-frame deep drawing press for the full tonnage range, from 100 tonnes to high-tonnage presses of 2,500 tonnes and above. With no columns passing through the table, the full table size is available for the die. A 4-column deep drawing configuration is available as the HPS. For manual pressure and stroke setting at 100 or 150 tonnes, see the HPHC.

Typical industries: kitchen equipment, white goods, automotive parts, aerospace and defence.

Request a Quote for the HPHS

Send us the part material and thickness, the blank and finished-part dimensions, the drawing depth, the press and cushion force you expect, the usable table size, the stroke and the daylight, whether the press must be single- or double-action, and the planned output. If you only know the die, send its height and dimensions. If you have a drawing or a photo of the part, include it and we will propose a model and configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions About HPHS

Yes. Every standard model has a hydraulic die cushion in the bed that acts as the blank holder. A triple-action configuration adds an ejector.

It can. A single-action H-frame version is built from 100 to 2,500 tonnes, with an ejector if required.

The standard table ends at 2,500 tonnes with a 1,800 × 2,600 mm table. Larger presses are built to order.

Bosch Rexroth or Parker hydraulics and Siemens or Schneider electrics. HAWE components are also used.
