MR Manual Bench-Top Sheet Metal Roller
The MR is EBR METAL’s manual slip roll: a bench-top sheet metal roller with cast-iron frames, no stand and no motor. It rolls sheet from 0.6 to 1.2 mm into cylinders and curved parts by hand.
The top roll swings out to release the finished part. Three sizes cover working lengths of 600, 1,000 and 1,250 mm.

• Working length 600–1,250 mm • Capacity 0.6–1.2 mm • Rolls Ø46 mm • Bench-top, manual

How the MR Works
The MR is turned by hand. The bottom and back rolls are adjusted with screw handles, and the top roll swings out so the rolled part can be removed. Wire grooves of 4, 7 and 9 mm at the roll ends allow wire rolling.
A slip roll like the MR is built for thin sheet. A plate roll is a heavier machine for thicker plate, usually motorised or hydraulic. For heavier work, see the other 3-roll plate bending machines.

Plate bending capacities are given for 260 N/mm² plate yield strength.
Minimum bending diameter: top roll diameter × 1.5.
Choosing the MR
Choose the MR for hand rolling of thin sheet on a bench, such as light cylindrical parts and ventilation parts from 0.6–1.2 mm sheet, depending on thickness, working length and diameter. For sheet up to 2.0 mm on a floor-standing machine, see the MSR | SR machines.
Request a Quote for the MR
Send us the material type and grade, the thinnest and thickest sheet or plate, the maximum working length and the minimum inside diameter. A drawing or a photo of a sample part helps us propose a model and configuration.
Frequently Asked Questions About MR
What does a slip roll do?
A slip roll machine bends thin sheet into cylinders and curved parts between three rolls. The MR does this by hand, for sheet from 0.6 to 1.2 mm.
What is the difference between a plate roll and a slip roll?
A slip roll is a light machine for thin sheet, often hand-operated. A plate roll is heavier, usually motorised or hydraulic, and rolls thicker plate.
Does the MR need a power supply?
No. The MR is operated by hand.
How much does the MR cost?
The price depends on the size and delivery. Send us your requirements and we will quote.
