LPM Duct Beading Machines (Trace Pressing)
The LPM duct beading machine presses zig-zag stiffening beads into flat sheet for rectangular duct panels. The beads make large panels stiffer and reduce drumming and flexing under airflow.
Three trace pressing machines, with working lengths of 1200, 2050 and 2530 mm, all for sheet 0.4–1.2 mm.

LPM Design
- Frame: welded steel construction, on wheels so the machine can be moved in the shop.
- Drive: gear motor with chain drive.
- Rolls: top and bottom rolls of hardened steel.
- Supports: the longer models carry extra supports and rollers, so the bead forms evenly across the full sheet width.
- Adjustment: the roll gap is set with bolts to suit the sheet thickness.

Choosing the LPM Duct Beading Machine
Choose by the widest panel you stiffen:
- LPM 1200: panels up to 1200 mm.
- LPM 2000: up to 2050 mm.
- LPM 2500: up to 2530 mm.
The LPM 2000 and LPM 2500 are the models ordered most.
For the Pittsburgh lock on the same panels, see the LFM lock former machine.
EBR HVAC: for our HVAC duct production series, see the Z beading machine on EBR HVAC.
Frequently Asked Questions About LPM
Why bead duct panels?
Large flat panels tend to flex and drum under air pressure. The pressed beads make the panel stiffer without adding material.
What sheet thickness can the LPM press?
Sheet from 0.4 to 1.2 mm on all three models.
How is the LPM set for a different sheet thickness?
The gap between the top and bottom rolls is set with bolts to suit the sheet thickness.
