Cutting capacities are specified separately for material tensile strengths of 450 N/mm² and 700 N/mm². Use the capacity value corresponding to the individual EHGM-LT model and required cutting length.

NC Control and Motorized Blade-Gap Adjustment
EHGM-LT is controlled through an NC controller rather than a CNC system. The operator enters the sheet thickness through the controller, and a motorized system then adjusts the blade gap to match.
An Elgo P40T controller is available as an optional upgrade. It is not fitted as standard.
Cutting Angle Fixed by Model
EHGM-LT’s cutting angle is fixed. It is set according to the machine’s size and capacity during manufacture, and the operator cannot adjust it once the machine is built.
EHGM’s CNC range takes a different approach, with a rake angle the operator can adjust through the control system. The choice between a fixed and an adjustable angle depends on how often materials, thicknesses and cutting requirements change on the shop floor.
EHGM-LT uses an upper blade with two cutting edges and a lower blade with four. When one cutting edge becomes worn, another available edge can be brought into service by repositioning the blade. The blades can also be reground for further use where technically appropriate.
750 mm NC-Controlled Motorized Backgauge
EHGM-LT nc hydraulic shearing machine comes standard with a 750 mm NC-controlled motorized backgauge. The drive is motorized, not servo.
Two further configurations are available: an NC-controlled servo-motorized backgauge and a 1000 mm X-axis backgauge. EBR METAL confirms the right configuration against the required backgauge travel and cutting application.

Sheet Handling and Support
EHGM-LT combines a hydraulic hold-down system with a sheet-metal sliding table and 800 mm front support arms to hold the sheet steady during cutting. Cutting-line lighting keeps the cutting area visible. The rear safety sensor and openable finger-protection system round out the machine’s safety equipment.
An optional pneumatic rear sheet support (Eco) suits applications that benefit from powered rear support. The available sheet-handling configurations are listed under Optional Equipment below.
