PBH Hydraulic Angle Roll Machine
The PBH angle roll machine from EBR METAL is a 3-roll machine that bends tube, pipe, flat bar, angle iron, channel and beams into curves, rings and spirals. All three rolls are driven to feed the section through the machine. The machine works in the horizontal or the vertical position.
Seven sizes cover the range, from the compact PBH 40 up to the PBH 120, which rolls HEA 140 and HEB 120 beams. PBH 40, 65, 80, 100 and 120 form the main hydraulic profile bending machine series, with the bottom rolls set hydraulically. PBH 50 and PBH 60 are a compact series with a hydraulic top roll.

PBH Design
The PBH is a hydraulic section and pipe bending machine. PBH 50 to PBH 120 have a welded steel body; the PBH 40 has a rigid spheroidal graphite cast iron body. The shafts are made of high-tensile special steel, hardened and ground, and the standard rolls are hardened.
- Drive: all three rolls are driven. PBH 40, 65 and 80 use an electric brake motor with a gearbox. On the PBH 100 a single gearbox with a hydraulic motor drives the three rolls through gears. On the PBH 120 each roll has its own planetary gearbox and hydraulic motor, and the speed is infinitely adjustable from 2 to 7.5 m/min.
- Roll setting: on PBH 40, 65, 80, 100 and 120 the two bottom rolls move up and down hydraulically, and two digital read-outs show their position.
- Control: a separate, mobile control panel and a brake motor for exact stopping. With the optional NC control the machine learns a bend in teach mode: the operator bends the part once, the machine records each step, and it repeats the same bend whenever the program is called up.
- Guiding: lateral angle guide rolls keep angle and T-sections from twisting. They are adjustable by hand on 3 axes on PBH 65–100, hydraulic on PBH 120, and simpler lateral guide rolls on PBH 40.
- PBH 50 and 60: compact series. All three rolls are motor driven, the top roll moves up and down hydraulically, and the top-roll force is 8 t (PBH 50) or 16 t (PBH 60).

Choosing the PBH Angle Roll Machine
Start from the largest section you bend and its smallest radius, then find the first column in the capacity chart that covers both. For angle, T-section and channel, check the row for the right orientation, since leg-in and leg-out bending have different limits.
- PBH 40, 50, 60: light and medium work: railings, gates, furniture frames, greenhouse arches.
- PBH 65, 80: general fabrication with tube, angle and channel up to UPN 140 on the PBH 80.
- PBH 100, 120: structural work with I-beams and H-beams, and large tube up to Ø160 × 4 mm on the PBH 120.
PBH 50, PBH 65 and PBH 100 are the sizes ordered most often. If you bend the same part in series and want the ends pre-bent without taking the part out, compare the PBH 4V 4-roll profile bending machine. For lighter sections, the PBM motorized profile bending machine costs less. The PBH angle roll machine is available in seven sizes within EBR METAL’s profile bending machine range.

Request a Quote for the PBH
For each part, send the material, the section type and size, the wall thickness and the smallest inside diameter you need. Add the orientation for angle, T and channel, and the batch size for series work. We will recommend the PBH size and the roll sets. On request, we film the bending test with your material.
Frequently Asked Questions About PBH
What is an angle roll machine?
A machine that rolls angle iron, flat bar, tube and other sections into curves and rings between three rolls. On the PBH all three rolls are driven.
Can the PBH bend beams?
Yes. PBH 65 and larger bend IPN beams, and PBH 100 and PBH 120 also bend HEA and HEB beams. PBH 120 can bend UPN, IPN and HEA/HEB the hard way with the special beam bending attachment.
What is the difference between the compact PBH 50/60 and the main PBH series?
PBH 50 and 60 are a compact series with a hydraulic top roll, an optional stairway bending attachment and optional Delrin rolls for aluminium and stainless steel. On PBH 40, 65, 80, 100 and 120 the bottom rolls are set hydraulically, two digital read-outs are standard, and an optional crane supports spiral rolling. On PBH 50 and 60 the digital read-out is optional.
Does the PBH need special rolls for pipe?
Yes. Round bar, round tube, pipe, rectangular and square tube and angle are bent with optional rolls. Flat bar, square bar, channel, beams and most T-section positions use the standard roll set; some sizes need a special washer.
What does the NC control do?
It works in teach mode. The operator bends the part once, the machine records every step, and it repeats that bend each time the program is called up.
Is the pyramid-type PBH 3V still available?
It is built to order. Send your section sizes and we will quote the configuration.
