Parts, Bending Work and Selection
The CMP box and pan folder handles trays, return flanges and similar formed shapes within its working length and capacity. Its slot-guide upper blades and optional segmented lower blades support box-and-pan work in particular. CMF and CMP are both manual box-and-pan brakes; see our Manual Folding Machines hub for a full comparison between the two.
To confirm whether CMP is the right fit for your job, tell us your material, the required bending length and the maximum thickness. For complex or box-and-pan shapes, we’ll also need a technical drawing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between CMP and CMF?
Both are manual box-and-pan brakes. See our Manual Folding Machines hub for the full comparison — CMP offers three working lengths (1260, 2060 and 2560 mm) and an optional segmented lower-blade configuration.
What does the optional lower-blade configuration do?
It adds segmented lower blades on a slot guide, supporting box-and-pan work alongside CMP’s standard slot-guide upper blades.
What is "Top Beam Stroke"?
It’s the travel of CMP’s top beam — 40 mm on the 1260 model, 120 mm on the 2060 and 2560 models.
What material does the technical table's capacity apply to?
The listed capacities reflect standard carbon/mild steel (St37) sheet. Other materials behave differently and should be confirmed with EBR before ordering.
