Duct Forming Machines from EBR METAL
EBR METAL ventilation duct machines cover the forming steps of rectangular and round duct work in sheet up to 1.2 mm (bordering up to 4 mm). LFM lock formers roll the Pittsburgh lock and cleats on sheet edges, and LSM lock seamers close the longitudinal seams of round ducts. LPM machines stiffen flat panels. KBT, KMT and KT bordering machines bead and fold the edges of round parts and fittings.

Where Each Machine Fits in Duct Work
- Edges and locks: the LFM lock former rolls the Pittsburgh lock and cleats on the cut sheet.
- Stiffening: the LPM presses zig-zag beads into large flat panels to make them stiffer and reduce drumming.
- Round ducts: after rolling, the LSM closes the longitudinal lock seam over a length of up to 1300 mm.
- Edges of round parts and fittings: the KBT, KMT and KT bordering machines bead and fold the edges with interchangeable rolls. Special rolls are made to order.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ventilation Duct Machines
Which machines does a small duct shop need first?
Usually a lock former for the Pittsburgh lock and a bordering machine for edges and fittings. A lock seamer is added for round duct work, and a trace pressing machine for large rectangular panels.
What sheet thickness can the machines handle?
Lock formers and lock seamers up to 1.2 mm, duct beading (trace pressing) machines 0.4–1.2 mm and bordering machines up to 4 mm (KBT 4.0). Capacities are for mild steel S235JR (formerly St 37) and also apply to galvanized sheet. For stainless steel they are lower.
Do you also make automatic duct lines?
Yes. Our automatic duct lines and HVAC duct production series are presented on our sister site EBR HVAC (ebrhvac.com). This site lists the standard EBR METAL duct forming machines. Send us your duct sizes and output, and we will recommend the right machines from either range.
Do you supply spare rolls?
Yes. The standard rolls ship from stock, and special rolls for the KBT, KMT and KT are made to your profile.
