EPBM-LUX Press Brake

The EPBM-LUX CNC press brake is EBR METAL’s configuration for additional features or a larger machine envelope beyond EPBM-PRO: 4-axis control (Y1, Y2, X, R) on a Cybelec Touch 15 control unit, with a force range from 135 up to 1,000 tons.

The EPBM-LUX Package

EPBM-LUX shares EPBM-PRO’s standard 4-axis configuration but steps up to a Cybelec Touch 15 control unit and a larger standard machine envelope. Stroke (320 mm), throat depth (550 mm) and table-to-table distance (535 mm) are constant across the LUX range; table height, table width and overall machine dimensions vary by model (see the technical table below). Front support arms are hand-wheel adjustable, and the force range extends well beyond PRO’s ceiling. The right choice depends on the application and on which equipment the buyer needs beyond the EPBM-PRO configuration. Overlapping tonnage bands do not determine the selection.

Across its 135–1,000 ton range, EPBM-LUX’s larger control unit and machine envelope suit parts that need LUX’s specific features beyond EPBM-PRO. Applications can include Z-shaped bends, parts with double bends on all four sides and multi-bend components, provided the part’s geometry, stroke, throat depth and tooling requirements suit the chosen model. Complex or multi-bend parts are best confirmed with a technical drawing before ordering.

Preparing a Quotation

To size and quote an EPBM-LUX, EBR METAL needs the material type, maximum material thickness, maximum bending width/length, and a technical drawing for complex or multi-bend parts. This lets EBR METAL recommend the machine along with the appropriate upper punch and lower die. Let EBR METAL know if extended backgauge axes, rear sliding safety doors or the CE Package should be included.
