EBR METAL participated in EuroBLECH 2022 in Hannover, Germany, presenting its sheet metal machinery to international visitors from the metal fabrication industry.
For EBR METAL, the event carried particular significance — it was the first EuroBLECH exhibition attended under the EBR METAL brand. The stand drew consistent interest throughout the fair. Visitors wanted to know about production capacity, available machine models, delivery times, distributor coverage in their regions, custom manufacturing options, and CE certification. For many, those were the first questions before anything else.
EBR METAL presented two machines during the exhibition: the EDBM 1230 NC hydraulic press brake (linked) and the GMRL-RF 1403 direct-gear guillotine shear (linked). Both were operated at the stand, so visitors could observe actual bending and cutting performance rather than evaluate machines from catalogue pages alone.

Machines Showcased at EuroBLECH 2022
The machines selected for EuroBLECH 2022 were chosen to represent practical bending and cutting solutions for small and mid-sized workshops, as well as larger production facilities where compact machines handle simpler fabrication tasks.
Presenting both machines together also gave visitors a clearer picture of how cutting and bending operations connect in a sheet metal fabrication workflow. The guillotine shear prepares sheet blanks; the press brake forms them into profiles, brackets, panels, or other components. For visitors already working in sheet metal production, that relationship was immediately recognizable.

EDBM 1230 NC Hydraulic Press Brake
The EDBM 1230 NC drew attention primarily because of its compact footprint, NC control system, and practical capacity for workshop use.
With 30 tons of bending force and a 1270 mm working length, the machine is suited to smaller bending jobs, short production runs, and general sheet metal fabrication. Its compact structure makes it a workable option for workshops where floor space, operator simplicity, and initial investment cost all factor into machine selection decisions.
Visitors from North Africa and the Gulf region showed clear interest in the NC control system and the machine’s cost-to-quality balance. For many of those buyers, the appeal was not just the machine’s size — it was the ability to build long-term workshop capacity without committing to a large upfront investment.

What Visitors Observed During the Press Brake Demonstration
Because the EDBM 1230 NC was running at the stand, visitors could follow the bending process directly — hydraulic movement, NC control workflow, operator access, and how the compact structure holds up during operation.
Many visitors moved past the catalogue specifications quickly. Their questions focused on practical use: how the machine fits into a small workshop, how it handles simple bending tasks in day-to-day production, what delivery timelines look like, and whether distributor or sales support is available in their country.
GMRL-RF 1403 Direct-Gear Guillotine Shear
The GMRL-RF 1403 was selected for the exhibition because it operates in a similar capacity range to the EDBM 1230 NC press brake. Together, the two machines formed a compact cutting and bending combination for sheet metal workshops.
The NC control unit and touchscreen panel received positive feedback from visitors, mainly for ease of operation. The pneumatic sheet support and discharge system was demonstrated during the fair, giving visitors a direct look at how the machine supports and ejects sheet material through the cutting cycle.
One of the stronger demonstrations came when several visitors brought their own sheet metal samples to the stand. The machine cut them cleanly without requiring special preparation — no blade gap adjustment, no feeler gauge work. The burr-free result, dimensional consistency, and clean sheet edges were observed and appreciated on the spot.

Cutting and Bending Workflow in Sheet Metal Fabrication
Presenting both machines at the same stand gave visitors a practical frame of reference for how cutting and bending equipment works together in production.
In most sheet metal workshops, the guillotine shear handles material preparation — cutting sheets to the required dimensions before they move to the next stage. The press brake then forms those cut sheets into finished components: brackets, panels, enclosures, frames, cabinets, and similar fabricated parts.
That workflow was straightforward for visitors already active in sheet metal production to recognize. Rather than evaluating the machines as separate purchases, many visitors assessed them as a combined workshop solution.
CE-Certified Production for International Markets
CE compliance, quality documentation, and safety requirements came up consistently during the fair — particularly from visitors and potential distributors evaluating machines for international markets.
EBR METAL manufactures and certifies its sheet metal machinery in line with CE requirements. This reflects the company’s export-oriented production approach and gives international buyers a clearer basis for evaluating machine suitability for their own markets and import requirements.
International Visitor Interest and Dealer Discussions
EuroBLECH 2022 created direct contact opportunities with international visitors, distributors, and potential partners. Stand conversations covered production capacity, delivery schedules, available machine models, custom manufacturing options, and distributor presence in various countries.
At the close of the exhibition, the two machines displayed at the stand were purchased by EBR METAL’s dealer and distributor in the Netherlands — who had visited the stand during the fair — and loaded for shipment at the end of the event.
The fair also supported new dealership discussions with visitors from several other markets, contributing to EBR METAL’s ongoing international sales and service network development.
